Samina Quraishi-Chavez, the founder of Comuni Acupuncture (formerly called Queens Acupuncture), is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Samina is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY), was certified by the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA), and she has training in animal acupuncture. Over the years, Samina has provided acupuncture treatments to well-known celebrities in addition to practicing in numerous hospitals and organizations in the New York metropolitan area including:

  • St. Vincent's Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • St. Vincent's Hospital HIV Center
  • The Hospital for Joint Disease
  • Lincoln Hospital
  • St. John's Riverside Hospital at Yonkers
  • The Fortune Society
  • Grand Meridian Clinic in Chinatown

Samina was awarded both a Bachelor of Science & Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she attended the New York and the San Diego campuses. Prior to making a career change into Acupuncture, Samina was an Accountant. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Public Accounting with a minor in English from Baruch College. She had a successful career working for Fortune 500 companies, and was an auditor at KPMG. She decided at some point to return to college for another 4 years to allow her to make a career change into something she found more rewarding and gratifying. Currently, Samina is completing her Doctoral degree.
