If Your Insurance Covers Acupuncture
Apart from our community acupuncture clinic, some of our acupuncturists offer private acupuncture treatments. Not all plans within any insurance company will provide coverage for acupuncture benefits. All insurance benefits must be verified by our staff prior to treatment. Insurance patients are treated in a private treatment room separate and apart from the shared rooms of our community clinic. Private acupuncture sessions are not the same as community acupuncture sessions and therefore the rates are not the same. The patient will be responsible for any co-payments, co-insurance or deductibles. In New York, Medicaid & Medicare insurance plans unfortunately do not cover acupuncture at this point in time. Insurance can be very complicated, but our billing staff will do their best to explain to you how your particular coverage works should you have any questions.
